Aug. 31 Update on Northrop Grumman Employee Work Schedules in Gulf Region

PASCAGOULA, Miss., Aug. 31, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman announces the following work schedule updates for its employees in the Gulf Coast region.

In addition to these schedules, the company is taking steps to provide compensation to the Ship Systems sector work force this week. Details of how pay will be distributed to personnel Friday, Sept. 2, will be provided on the next advisory, scheduled for Sept. 1, 2005.

PASCAGOULA / GULFPORT:

- Both facilities will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 1.

- For Gulfport operations, all maintenance personnel should report for a 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daylight shift.

- For Pascagoula operations, all facilities engineering, maintenance, security, test and change-order electricians, test and trials, safety, production supervisors, crafts supervisors, manufacturing services, resource recovery, yard cleaning, production supervision, ship management, inside and outside machinists, facilities and ship cleaners, carpenters, rigging, production control, and transportation shift employees should report to work if at all possible for a 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daylight shift.

- Personnel who can report to work should bring their own food and potable water if feasible as shortages currently exist.

- Access to the area may be restricted by regional authorities. Reporting personnel should ascertain prior to departure whether the facilities will be accessible.

- An updated announcement will be made on Thursday, Sept. 1, about work schedules for the remainder of the week after more complete assessments are made of the operational status and material condition of the facilities in Pascagoula and Gulfport.

NEW ORLEANS / TALLULAH:

- Both facilities will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 1.

- All maintenance and security shift personnel should report to work if at all possible.

- Personnel who can report to work should bring their own food and potable water if feasible as shortages currently exist.

- Access to the area may be restricted by regional authorities. Reporting personnel should ascertain prior to departure whether the facilities will be accessible.
