Telelogic's Jan Popkin Elected to the OMG Board of Directors


MALMO, Sweden and IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 27, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange:TLOG), the leading provider of software solutions that align advanced systems and software development with business objectives, today announced that Jan Popkin has been named to the board to directors for the Object Management Group(TM) (OMG(TM)), a not-for-profit consortium for the development of interoperable enterprise application specifications.

Popkin was voted in at the OMG Technical Meeting in Atlanta on Sept. 13. The OMG board now includes 24 directors.

As Telelogic's Chief Strategist, Popkin serves as the corporate visionary. His role is to assess industry trends, transform them into customer solutions and help drive product and technology initiatives. Popkin also acts as an external liaison to customers, analysts, standards organizations and the enterprise architecture, modeling and application lifecycle development communities.

Popkin was previously a member of the OMG's Business Modeling & Integration Domain Task Force for business process modeling standards and a board member for BPMI.org. He is also a member of the E-Gov Advisory Board, C4ISR Industry Panel, International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a charter member of the Architectural Forum of the Worldwide Institute of Software Architects. He is also on the board of the New York Software Industry Association (NYSIA).
