Northrop Grumman Announces 2005 Supplier Excellence Award Winners


RESTON, Va., Nov. 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) honored eleven suppliers who have contributed substantively to the company's success through their technical capability and commitment to producing quality products and services.

Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector presented 2005 Supplier Excellence Awards to: Applied Science Associates, Inc.; Phillips Service Industries, Inc., Beaver Aerospace & Defense, Inc.; The Boeing Company, Air Force Space Systems; Data Systems and Technology, Inc.; Engineering/Documentation Systems Inc.; Fiber SenSys, Inc.; FLIR Systems, Inc., Imaging Division; Harris Corporation, Government Communications Systems Division, Department of Defense Programs; Metson Marine; Sterling Computers; and Tech Systems Inc.

"This award honors suppliers who have made significant contributions and provided outstanding support to Mission Systems," said Jerry Agee, corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems. "They are an asset to our company and are critical in ensuring that we achieve our customers' mission objectives."

The Supplier Excellence Awards recognize outstanding suppliers in four categories: services suppliers, development suppliers, production suppliers and socio-economic suppliers. The selected suppliers met the highest criteria for delivery, quality, cost and schedule management, and customer satisfaction.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, based in Reston, Va., is a global integrator of complex, mission-enabling systems and services for defense, intelligence and civil government markets. The sector's technology leadership and expertise spans areas such as strategic systems, including ICBMs; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; command and control; and technical services and training.
