LXE Inc. Reports Record Revenue for Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2005

ATLANTA, March 17, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- LXE Inc., a leading manufacturer of rugged wireless computers that improve the performance of supply-chain execution applications, announced today that it set another record for fourth-quarter and full year 2005 revenues. The fourth-quarter revenue mark set another quarterly revenue record compared to fourth quarter revenues in years past, and extends to 13 straight quarters LXE's run of record quarterly year-over-year revenues. Also, the full year 2005 revenue mark represents a fifth consecutive full-year revenue record.

Driving the record results are continued significant global growth in LXE's vehicle-mount computer sales, particularly the Windows(R) CE .NET-based VX6 and VX7 rugged mobile computers. Also contributing to the record growth was a 58% increase in year-over-year sales through LXE's PartnerPass(SM) distribution program in the Americas. Other key events for LXE in 2005 included:

-- Winning the Mobile Star Award(TM) for superior customer service
    for the fourth consecutive year.

-- The introduction of the versatile MX7 handheld computer.

-- The introduction of the HX1 rugged speech recognition computer.

-- The "voice-enabling" of the majority of LXE's handheld and
vehicle-mount computers, giving customers a much wider choice of
open-system client devices that can be used with their
    voice-directed logistics applications.

-- Continued expansion in Asia, with the opening of LXE
International's Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore and offices
    in China.

"Our investments in our value-added resellers continue to pay off for both LXE and our channel partners," says Peter Fausel, LXE's senior vice president, sales and marketing. "Rapid channel growth will continue to be a priority for LXE throughout 2006."

"Growth in our vehicle-mounted computer business continues to accelerate," says Bill Roeder, LXE's senior vice president, product development. "Sales volume grew 45% in 2005 compared with strong growth of 32% in 2004. The VX6 vehicle-mounted computer is on track to be our best selling terminal of all time."
