Habitat for Humanity of Orange County Chooses ACE DuraFlo's ePIPE for New Huntington Beach Home

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., April 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- ACE DuraFlo Pipe Restoration Inc. has installed ePIPE(tm) in a Habitat for Humanity of Orange County home under construction in Huntington Beach. ACE DuraFlo restores residential and commercial copper water piping experiencing pinhole leaks by providing a preventative liner, ePIPE, within existing pipes.

"Habitat for Humanity chose ACE DuraFlo to install the water lines and line the copper pipes with their epoxy coating in order to reduce the potential for pinhole leaks in the future, thus providing maximum protection to the home buyer," Loretta Drummond Assistant Site Superintendent for Habitat for Humanity of Orange County says.

"This is the first home in the country to have copper piping installed that is pre-coated with an epoxy lining using the ACE DuraFlo ePIPE process," Steven Wann ACE DuraFlo Pipe Restoration Inc. President says. "We coated the piping at our facility and used a special fitting that enabled us to install ePIPE in a single day. Now the home has an epoxy lined copper piping system that should last a hundred years or more."

According to ACE DuraFlo records the average age of homes in Orange County experiencing pinhole leaks is 12 years. Company representatives say the changes in water chemistry mandated by the EPA's Safe Water Act, along with other factors, are adversely causing premature failure in copper pipes.

"We were really impressed at the speed and workmanship of the ACE DuraFlo technicians. The entire home took only a day," Drummond said.
