Insignia Licenses Bitfone Patents


LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif., April 10, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bitfone Corporation (www.bitfone.com), the pioneer and patent holder of firmware over-the-air (FOTA) update technology for mobile phones, today announced that Insignia Solutions (Nasdaq:INSG) has signed an agreement to license intellectual property rights to Bitfone's FOTA technology.

Founded in 2000, Bitfone Corporation has an extensive intellectual property portfolio consisting of six granted patents and more than 125 patents pending in the area of firmware over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, and other related device management areas.
