Everest Research Institute Appoints Business Process Outsourcing Thought Leader Phil Fersht as Vice President, Research

Former NelsonHall Executive and Founder of Yankee Group's BPO Advisory Practice, Joins Industry-Leading Team of Global Sourcing Analysts


NEW YORK and DALLAS, April 18, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Everest Research Institute announced today that Phil Fersht, a globally recognized authority on business process outsourcing (BPO) and former founder of Yankee Group's BPO advisory practice, has joined the firm as Vice President of Research, effective immediately. Fersht, who has provided BPO analysis and advisory services to the service provider and buy-side communities for more than eleven years, is a highly respected and internationally recognized expert, author and speaker on trends and developments in the areas of Finance & Accounting, Procurement and Human Resources as they relate to outsourcing, business transformation and information technology.

Prior to joining Everest Research Institute, Fersht was Executive Vice President, BPO Research, at NelsonHall. He joined NelsonHall from EquaTerra, where he was a Research Director and Senior Advisor. Previously, as Vice President, Global IT and BPO Research Groups, Fersht founded Yankee Group's BPO consulting and advisory practice. He began his BPO career at IDC, where he was promoted to Consulting and Research Director, which included a period as Director of Consulting for the Asia/Pacific region.

Fersht is the recipient of a number of significant BPO industry accolades, including being named an HRO and FAO Superstar by HRO Today and FAO Today magazines in both 2005 and 2006. In addition, he contributes columns to several leading industry publications and is a regular speaker at global industry events, including HRO World and FAO Summit in New York, SBPOA's Finance Transformation Europe and the HR Technology Conference and Expo(r) in Chicago. Fersht received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in European Business and Technology from Coventry University in the United Kingdom, and earned a Diplome Universitaire de Technologie in Business Studies at the Universitaire de Grenoble in France.
