VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 5, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wataire Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets:WTAF), an international company focusing on developing and delivering technology-based water harvesting systems worldwide, is pleased to announce confirmation of delivery of the CI 2500 water generator to Bangkok, Thailand. The generator arrived in Bangkok on April, 27 2006 and cleared customs May 3, 2006. Roland Wahlgren, head of Wataire's research and development department, will be traveling to Bangkok to assist with the installation of the water generator. The unit is planned to be used for demonstration purposes by Mediterranean at Saengvith Science Co. Ltd. in Bangkok. Unit demonstration will be provided for Military and Navy representatives in Thailand.
Contamination of both surface and groundwater sources in Thailand is caused by heavy urbanization, industrial activity and agriculture with rivers often containing 30 to 100 times more pathogens than are permitted by government health standards. Wataire's atmospheric water generation technology can provide solutions for other countries facing similar environmental challenges that continue to threaten the world's ability to meet drinking water demands.
Wataire Industries has received confirmation from Tecno Alta Distribucion of Mexico City, Mexico, that they have also received the container of WII 4010 water generators. Tecno Alta is ramping up their marketing plan and will be featuring our products in three upcoming trade shows, two of which Wataire will jointly participate in with Tecno Alta in the coming months.
Wataire is currently in various stage negotiations with seven potential distributors worldwide as a direct result from the company's participation in the World Water Forum recently held in Mexico. The company will inform the shareholders as the negotiations complete.
