Vertical Computer Systems Strengthens IT Security and Compliance Offering with Agreement as Value Added Reseller of StatePointPlus


FORT WORTH, Texas, May 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vertical Computer Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VCSY) announced today that the company and its subsidiaries have acquired the rights to be a value-added reseller of StatePointPlus(r). As a value-added reseller, VCSY may market and distribute the software as a managed service or on a license sale basis. VCSY may register prospective customers for six months on an exclusive basis.

StatePointPlus(r) is an intelligent System Baseline Management (SBM) patented technology that improves information technology management by providing a highly cost-effective complete inventory of network hardware, giving a complete picture of all existing workstations, servers, and software on a network. The technology also provides a self-healing function to reverse unauthorized changes to systems and ensuring information technology IT systems are in compliance with company policy and strategy including HIPAA and Sarbanes-Oxley provisions dealing with information technology. System administrators can manage all functions remotely. The system was originally developed by Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC to control the integrity of computer systems used to perform critical analysis and real-time plant parameter monitoring in the highly regulated commercial nuclear power industry.
