NUCON-RF Receives Exclusive Mandate to Market Power Quality Equipment in Republic of Tatarstan

MOSCOW, Sept. 15, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- NUCON-RF, Inc. (Pink Sheets:NNRF) today announced it has received an exclusive mandate from the Republic of Tatarstan Ministry of Construction Architecture to commence sales and installation of power quality protection equipment in newly constructed buildings within the Republic of Tatarstan.

This equipment, which began installations last week at the direction of the Ministry, is manufactured by Nevada-based Environmental Potentials (EP), provided by Nucon and sold through its Tatarstan-based marketing and sales partner, Stroikomplektinvest.

Among the first projects covered under the mandate will be the installation of power quality equipment in Solnechny, or Sun City, a new government office/employee complex in Tatarstan. Upon completion, this complex is expected to house over 20,000 residents in addition to extensive government office buildings and commercial structures and is estimated to require 50,000 power quality protection units over the next five years.

Total revenue to Nucon for Sun City may approach $50 to $100 million. Subsequent power quality equipment projects within Tatarstan, which is one of the most economically developed republics of the Russian Federation, could provide substantial additional revenue to Nucon over the next five years, said the company.

Nucon is further endeavoring to obtain government mandates and sales/installation partnerships within other Russian Republics. These agreements could also produce substantial company revenue.

Power quality protection units suppress power surges and filter out high frequency noise over electrical lines. These are common problems afflicting Russia's power grid, resulting in widespread damage to electrical and computer equipment and frequent flash fires in many buildings.

Nucon is currently marketing EP power quality protection units in various locations within Russia. Company revenue from this equipment, which is certified for sale in Russia, is expected to total $1.5 million in 2006.

NUCON-RF, a U.S. corporation with executive and operations offices in Moscow and Berlin, provides product, technological and engineering solutions for a wide range of environmental, wastewater, power quality and radioactive waste challenges.
