Falcon(R) Electric Announces Record Sales Growth for Military Power Applications

IRWINDALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- October 24, 2006 -- Falcon Electric, Inc. (www.falconups.com), a leading supplier of power protection and conversion solutions, today announced that over the past 6 months, it has recorded a 25 percent increase in sales growth from its military customer base. This fast growth is reflective of Falcon's rapid dominance in providing the U.S. military and its subcontractors with the highest caliber of COTS power conversion and protection solutions. Falcon's products support electronic systems for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, L-3 Communications, Raytheon, SAIC and other preeminent military, defense and aerospace organizations.

The need for precision voltage/frequency converters and on-line Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs) is continually increasing as sophisticated electronic systems are placed on board military aircraft, ships and radar stations that require clean uninterrupted power. These critical systems are very sensitive to voltage variances and power anomalies. By incorporating properly designed frequency converters, line conditioners and/or UPSs, overall system reliability is greatly increased. Falcon's frequency converters and on-line UPS products are lightweight and compact allowing them to fit in very small spaces -- an important consideration for stationary and mobile field applications.

"We are extremely pleased with the trust our military customers have in us. Our rapid increase in sales signifies our commitment to delivering unsurpassed products and customer support," stated Falcon President and CEO, Arthur Seredian. "Our growth is a further testament of our meeting the rigorous product demands with the flexibility and performance quality needed for critical operations. As one of the few companies with the expertise to design, manufacture and quickly deliver COTS power conversion products that meet the exacting requirements of military subcontractors, we look forward to the acceptance of our new products that are very flexible yet rugged to meet a variety of military applications."

To help meet demand, Falcon recently expanded its ED Series™ Frequency Converters. The ED Series is a family of high performance single-phase frequency converters and line conditioners that provide highly flexible and reliable AC power ranging from 1.5kVA to 5kVA. Utilizing field-proven double-conversion design, the ED Series offers unmatched power quality without sacrificing efficiency, size or weight. For military applications, ruggedized versions are available. Charles Vatcher, a mechanical engineer for Edwards Air Force Base and user of Falcon's ED Series system, commented, "As a design engineer, I'm responsible for sourcing components for the C-130 Hercules. Our requirement called for a frequency converter capable of changing the 400Hz internal power system to 60Hz, in order to power the motor of a trailing cone assembly. Other frequency converters were larger, heavier and more expensive than the Falcon system."
