NFL Player Kurt Warner Helps Aaron's Surprise Deserving Single Father With Furniture Donation

Stunned Father Has Worked Tirelessly to Seek Better Life for Three Sons

PHOENIX, Dec. 20, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Aaron Rents, Inc. (NYSE:RNT), the nation's leader in the rental, sales and lease ownership, specialty retailing and rental of residential and office furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances and accessories, today announced the donation of a complete home's worth of merchandise via the annual First Things First "Homes for the Holidays" program.

Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda teamed with Aaron's and Neighborhood Housing Services of Southwestern Maricopa County to select Sergio, a former gang member who fled his previous lifestyle so that his three sons could grow up in a more stable environment. Through Sergio's hard work he was able to clean up his credit, establish a budget and qualify to purchase a home, all while raising his sons as a single father. Sergio knew he was preparing to receive the keys to his new home, but he had no idea that home would be presented to him completely furnished.

"Like Sergio, I was a single parent struggling to make ends meet," Brenda Warner explained. "Kurt and I know how special it is to finally realize homeownership -- something that seems like an impossible dream."

"Becoming a homeowner is such an amazing accomplishment and we are thrilled to join Aaron's in rewarding Sergio's hard work," Kurt Warner added.

According to Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership President Ken Butler, the Homes for the Holidays program grows in scope each year. "This donation is noteworthy because while we have been involved with more than 60 home presentations to single-parent families, this marks the first time a single father has been selected. Aaron's is proud to play a role in honoring a person who has overcome so much adversity in his life and who is dedicated to making a better life for his three sons. Aaron's is all about making dreams come true, including the dream Brenda Warner spoke of -- home ownership."
