FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 10, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- NOW Solutions, Inc. (NOW Solutions) announced today that it has signed an agreement whereby its existing client, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, purchased the Hosting Services for NOW Solutions' emPath HRMS software suite.
The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has been a client of NOW Solutions since 1996. They decided to take advantage of the hosted service solution with NOW Solutions in order to ensure their HRIS and Payroll information is protected, off-site, and available in a state-of-the-art facility. With a hosted solution, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office will be afforded added protection in the event of disaster, such as Hurricane Katrina.
The HRMS market is moving toward a software-as-a-service model. To meet that demand NOW Solutions is utilizing MCI/Verizon, one of the preeminent data centers in the country to support its delivery of a comprehensive HRMS/payroll functionality, cutting edge technology, and the Internet without a requirement for in-house IT support.
JPSO estimates they will realize the following benefits by moving their emPath application to NOW Solutions' hosted model:
* Reduce the support and maintenance required for an in-house
solution.
* Eliminate internal concerns over "off-site" back-up in the
event of disaster.

* Immediate access to upgrades and new features which are
