MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 14, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Bernard P. McVey sector vice president of business management and chief financial officer within the company's Information Technology (IT) sector. McVey reports to James R. O'Neill, corporate vice president and IT sector president.

As vice president of business management, McVey will lead all aspects of the business management organization's strategy. As chief financial officer for the sector, his responsibilities will encompass contracting, pricing, procurement, resources planning, facilities, and financial reporting and forecasting. He will also play an instrumental role in supporting new business initiatives.

McVey has held a variety of leadership positions within the company, most recently serving as vice president and controller of Northrop Grumman IT sector, responsible for oversight of internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and financial planning, reporting and budgeting.
McVey previously served as vice president and business manager for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and Naval Systems for the company's Electronic Systems sector.
McVey earned both a bachelor's and a master's degree from Loyola College, Baltimore.
