DETROIT, MI--(Marketwire - June 13, 2007) - MGM Grand Detroit, an MGM MIRAGE (NYSE: MGM) property, is now accepting hotel reservations for November 1, 2007 and later. The entertainment venue will be the first and only urban gaming destination built from the ground up and will add 400 luxury rooms and suites to the city of Detroit when it opens this fall. Reservations are available via www.mgmgranddetroit.com or (888) 646-3387.

MGM Grand Detroit will feature 400 lavish guest rooms, nine rooftop VIP suites and 56 opulent corner suites on the highest floors of the entertainment destination, delivering panoramic views of the Detroit skyline. Rooms will include contemporary interior design by acclaimed hospitality firm Laurence Lee and Associates and some of the most technologically advanced features in the country. Guests also will enjoy 24-hour in-room dining by the original celebrity chef, Wolfgang Puck. Nightly rates begin at $299 for the luxury king; $499 for executive and luxury corner suites; penthouse suites range from $900 to $3,000.

"Upon the opening of MGM Grand Detroit, corporate travelers, meeting attendees and leisure guests will be invited to experience a new level of rooms, amenities, services and restaurants never before available in Detroit," said John Hutar, Vice President of Hotel Operations at MGM Grand Detroit. "We believe we will deliver downtown Detroit's first true luxury experience and have built our hotel and casino from the ground up to ensure our guests will be delighted and inspired at the turn of every corner."

MGM Grand Detroit will feature a private valet and entrance for its hotel guests, an intentional design attribute that offers separation from the casino. The lobby will envelop patrons in a modern yet tranquil atmosphere with grandiose 20-foot ceilings, a private "LIVING ROOM" with a stunning fireplace, and a dramatic backlit alabaster wall adornment with a cascading fountain. Featuring oversized ottomans and contemporary artwork from Detroit's most prominent artists, the living room will serve as a gathering place to relax, wait for friends and business associates, or make reservations and requests via the dedicated concierge.

After stepping through the comfortable lobby, guests need not look too far for decadent culinary choices. MGM Grand Detroit customers will enjoy Wolfgang Puck's signature WOLFGANG PUCK GRILLE, featuring the legend's inventive California-style cuisine. Michael Mina also will introduce two new concepts to his culinary repertoire: SALTWATER, an opulent seafood dining experience; and BOURBON STEAK, which will deliver imaginative interpretations of traditional steakhouse favorites in a modern setting. Additional hotel offerings will consist of casual dining, unique lounges including a relaxed piano-style bar, high-energy nightlife, the only resort-style spa in southeast Michigan and 30,000 square feet of meeting space.

Laurence Lee and Associates is renowned for its luxury hotel design throughout the country. Their list of projects include: The Ritz Carlton, Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena, Calif.; the Borgata in Atlantic City; and the Kapalua Bay Hotel in Maui, Hawaii.

-- Ranging from 510 to 2,225 square feet, guest rooms will feature three
unique color schemes: luxury kings and double queens will exude a warm
ambiance with chocolate, dark cranberry and lime accents; corner suites
will feature a sophisticated combination of vanilla and espresso with
splashes of chartreuse; penthouse suites will swathe guests in a sultry
setting filled with taupe, black and red décor. Each room will feature
exotic Wenge furniture and modish zebra wood headboards.

-- The five opulent penthouse suites will boast marble floors,
entertainment rooms with 50-inch plasma TVs and surround sound, separate
living rooms, multiple bedrooms and oversized bathrooms featuring indulgent
whirlpool tubs. They will also offer formal dining areas and a private
kitchen where hotel chefs can create exclusive culinary experiences.
Luxury corner suites will feature their own half bath, delivering added
convenience and privacy for guests when entertaining.

-- Delivering a sensual and voyeuristic architectural element, the guest
room showers will feature a panel of opaque tangerine glass, offering a
glimpse of a showering silhouette from the bedroom. The oversized
bathrooms, which make up nearly a quarter of total room size, will boast
showers with double rain head showerheads and triple body showers; a 15-
    inch plasma TV embedded in the mirror; Palisandro marble countertops;
double vanity sinks; separate water closet; lighted make-up mirrors and
products by H2O spa. All rooms and suites will furnish plush bath linens
featuring wrap-around body towels and microfiber spa-style bathrobes.

-- Deluxe beds will feature double-sided Serta pillow-top mattresses with
luxurious comforters in custom duvets. The well-appointed beds will be
fitted with high-thread-count bed linens and topped with fluffy pillows
that invite weary travelers to take respite from the bustling city.

-- Advanced technological features underscore the modern but comfortable
feel of the rooms and suites. When entering the room, the action of
unlocking the door automatically will adjust the interior lighting in the
space to a soft, warm glow; settings can be adjusted to five different
levels of brightness. Telephones will serve as a "Butler" with color touch-
screen technology that enables guests to access property information,
schedule wake-up calls, order room service and connect to the Internet
without picking up the phone. Additionally, an electronic button beside the
door allows guests to send a communiqué directly to housekeeping with a "Do
Not Disturb" message or a maid service request. Motion sensors combined
with the use of electronic key locks notify housekeeping personnel when
rooms are occupied to minimize guest disturbances.

-- All rooms are appointed with a 42-inch wall-mounted plasma television
and an IPOD docking station. Both wired and wireless Internet will be
standard in every room; business travelers utilizing laptops will
appreciate power outlets stationed at tabletop height for optimum
