LAS VEGAS, July 23, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- MetaPower International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:MTPW) announced today that the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, MetaPower, Inc., has upgraded Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station's Performance Improvement Learning Oversight and Trending (PILOT) application to the UCoDA 3.0 architecture. UCoDA is a patented Business Process Management Technology that is designed to create applications that optimize business processes. The PILOT Suite of applications is used to identify, manage and correct errors and their causes.
MetaPower, Inc. and Wolf Creek developed the PILOT application using the UCoDA 2.0 architecture. Wolf Creek's PILOT suite of applications has been deployed to comply with strict nuclear standards and includes: condition report tracking, action planning, action tracking, audit management, self assessment management, observation management, and operation experience management. Wolf Creek's PILOT application has been operating for over a year and has generated more than 5,000 condition reports, more than 625 action plans, nearly 1300 actions, more than 12 self-assessments, over 275 operating experience evaluations, more than 500 operating experience questions, and has completed over 600 observations.
"PILOT is being utilized by employees within Wolf Creek to generate 'live time' trending reports to the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) performance objectives and criteria codes. Since taking over this duty in early January, the plant advocate teams are creating cognitive trending reports and identifying low level, cross-cutting issues for the site. More 'live time' trending for cross-cutting issues is now a reality and PILOT is a part of making it happen," stated Mr. Kevin Moles, a spokesperson from Wolf Creek Nuclear Station.
"MetaPower, Inc. upgraded the PILOT application database and business rules to be fully compliant with UCoDA 3.0. We tested all current functionality and took advantage of the new fully automated design documents for the UCoDA 3.0 architecture. This gives Wolf Creek the ability to do its own configuration changes using the design language and automation of UCoDA 3.0," stated John Prouty, Vice President of Product Development of MetaPower, Inc.
