In partnership with the Ric Gonzalez Memorial Scholarship Fund, more than 40 scholarships have been awarded to college-bound Michigan Latino students. Proceeds from "Fiesta Tigres", the GM Saturn Sky Drawing at the Hank Aguirre Golf Outing, which will be played on August 13, and other Chamber activities go toward scholarships.

"'Fiesta Tigres' is a fun family outing that supports our hometown Detroit Tigers at the same time we support education for Hispanic youth," said MHCC Executive Director Ray Lozano. "You don't have to be Hispanic to root for our Tigers, including Carlos Guillen, Placido Polanco, Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez and Joel Zumaya, and you don't have to be Hispanic to believe in the benefit of a college education for Hispanic youth."

Only one hundred forty tickets are left. MasterCard, VISA and American Express are accepted. For more information or to obtain tickets for Fiesta Tigres, contact Diadette Mejia, dmejia@mhcc.org or 248-208-9915.
