CHESTERFIELD, Mo., Sept. 26, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Reliv International, Inc. (Nasdaq:RELV), a maker of soy-based nutritional supplements, today announced the promotion of three executives to vice president. All are new positions.
Reliv appointed Ron McCain as vice president -- sales development, Brett Hastings as vice president -- legal, and Barry Murov as vice president -- corporate communications.
"Ron's accumulated experience working with distributors will be extremely valuable in his new role in the sales department," said R. Scott Montgomery, executive vice president and chief operating officer. "Brett and Barry have given Reliv expanded expertise in their respective areas, law and communications. The board and I look forward to continued contributions to Reliv's success from these three executives."
Hastings, 34, moves up from his position as associate legal counsel. He is responsible for distributor and corporate compliance with industry regulations, commercial agreements, corporate governance, securities and general legal advice.
Hastings began his legal career in St. Louis with Thompson Coburn LLP. He also worked at Doster Mickes James Ullom Benson & Guest, LLC, prior to joining Reliv in 2005.
McCain, 41, is an 11-year veteran of Reliv. McCain previously was director of distributor relations, where he developed strong relationships with Reliv's independent distributor base. As vice president of sales development, McCain will capitalize on those relationships, as well as his understanding of the way distributors operate, to help them expand their businesses.
McCain began his career at Reliv as manager of the direct select and catalog program. He handled sales analysis and distributor surveys before becoming director of distributor relations.
Murov, 54, joined Reliv as director of corporate communications in 2006. He initially was responsible for public relations and investor relations. As vice president, he is adding responsibility for government relations and internal communications to his responsibilities. Prior to joining Reliv, he worked at Fleishman-Hillard and Anheuser-Busch.
