WHAT: The Port Commission of the Port of Houston Authority has
called a Special Meeting to consider a Memorandum of
Settlement Agreement between the Port of Houston Authority
(PHA) and the city of Seabrook and a Memorandum of
Understanding between Port of Houston Authority and Houston
Yacht Club. Should port commissioners approve the two
agreements, a signing ceremony will be held immediately after
the meeting.

WHY: A Memorandum of Settlement Agreement between PHA and the city
of Seabrook resolves outstanding legal matters. Additionally,
quality of life enhancements, land usage and environmental
initiatives are included in the memorandum.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between PHA and
Houston Yacht Club formally recognizes the organizations'
partnership to work together to promote recreational boating
safety and enjoyment of Galveston Bay.
