Berkshire Crowne Plaza Hotel Creates Serenity Spa Experiences Starting SuperBowl Sunday in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

BOSTON, Jan. 11, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The words 'SuperBowl Sunday' don't conjure up thoughts of serenity, unless you're referring to the unique choices available on February, 3, 2008 at the Berkshire Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains. This is where you will find a unique mix of the hotel's Serenity Spa program poolside and a SuperBowl Party in action in the hotel's sports bar, The Underground Pub. According to nationally syndicated radio and TV travel expert, Stephanie Abrams, "The Berkshire Crowne has created perfect choices for February 3rd! This is the quintessential 'something for everybody' offerings one expects from this hotel!"

According to Austin Snow, General Manager of the Berkshire Crowne Plaza, "While football fans are enjoying the game in The Underground Pub on our multiple flat-screen TVs, where we serve a fantastic Half-Time Buffet, our indoor pool area will set the stage for Serenity Spa, the first of several dates we have scheduled when we will roll out an extraordinary experience in relaxation, rejuvenation, tranquility, and serenity for body and spirit." Snow explains that in conjunction with staff and management of the Elle Day Spa, the Berkshire Crowne's pool area will transform into Serenity Spa, complete with poolside treatment rooms for couples and singles, private poolside hospitality rooms for every spa guest, spa refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere of dimmed lights, glowing candles, relaxing aromas, and tropical plants to set the scene.

Upon arrival, Serenity Spa participants will check into their poolside room, slip into their plush bathrobes, and step out of their stress. Each spa package includes: spa refreshments, poolside room, choice of one spa treatment from a list that provides a 50-minute Swedish massage, European facial, reflexology, manicure and pedicure, or man's facial, with other optional treatments available for those who wish to indulge in the spa experience. Also included is a delicious candlelit dinner that will be served to bathrobed participants at poolside tables. The comprehensive menu provides spa guests with everything from healthy choices on the lighter side to gourmet indulgences to meet every participant's tastes and regimen. For those who wish to stay overnight, Serenity Spa package includes complimentary overnight stay in the poolside room and complimentary comprehensive buffet breakfast. Parking in the hotel's covered garage, taxes and gratuities for hotel services are also included while tips for spa services are discretionary. The total spa package for the SuperBowl Sunday Serenity Spa program is $159 per person based on double occupancy. Gift certificates are available for the program.

"This is one more example of creative winter programming at the Berkshire Crowne Plaza," Abrams states. "And what an incredible value!"

Space is limited and reservations are required and can be made by calling 413-499-2000. Additional Serenity Spa dates are planned for February 17 and March 20, 2008.
