Gerald Arthur Winter was born in Queens, NY and has lived mostly in New Jersey. A graduate from Ramapo High School in Franklin Lakes, he received his BA from Rutgers University, where he serves on the Advisory Board for the School of Communications, Information, and Library Studies (SCILS).
