(Nasdaq:NETM), a software company that provides the fastest way to transform legacy applications into new Web-based business solutions, today announced the release of the Japanese version of RUMBA(r) v7.5.1. NetManage products reduce the cost and complexity of accessing years of business logic already on the host by unlocking critical data in legacy systems for rapid application development. Today's customer-driven upgrades provide additional management capabilities for flexibility, security and ease of use. In conjunction with this major upgrade, RUMBA v7.5.1 has also received the 'Works with Vista' designation, ensuring that the product is compatible with the latest Microsoft operating system.

RUMBA v7.5.1 for Japan represents a major upgrade from the previous version of RUMBA v7.1.1 and provides the opportunity to further penetrate the user base within the second largest software market through a value-added offering. This is just another step in the logical progression of NetManage to establish a widespread presence in important business regions across the globe.

NetManage RUMBA simplifies enterprise migrations to browser-based and server-based computing by providing business users with secure access to essential host information from any desktop or server-managed client, including IBM mainframe, IBM iSeries (AS/400), Hewlett-Packard, UNIX and VAX. New features of NetManage RUMBA 7.5 include:

-- Enhanced AS/400 Long Password support, including password level
caching capabilities to shorten connectivity time
