RAID Incorporated(TM) Announces General Availability for 300GB 2.5" 10k RPM SAS Drives in Razor Class Storage Systems

METHUEN, MA--(Marketwire - February 24, 2009) - RAID Incorporated, a customer-centric storage solutions provider specializing in custom manufacturing of leading edge storage solutions, today announced the qualification of 300GB 2.5-inch 10,000 RPM Serial-Attached SCSI drives for their Razor™ line of Small Form Factor storage systems. The drive provides over twice the capacity of those available previously in the Razor solution, presenting an unprecedented combination of storage space and performance in the world's first 1U 12-drive storage array.

It scales up to 60 drives in a 5U total form factor using redundant expansion chassis, providing a maximum of 18TB of high-performance disk space. Since the drives are 70% smaller than a traditional 3.5-inch drive solution, more system airflow becomes available, resulting in lower cooling costs.
