PHX to Welcome Airline CEOs, Top Transportation Officials At Annual Symposium


PHOENIX, Feb. 26, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Some of the world's most respected aviation minds will gather in Phoenix, Arizona March 25-27 for the 18th Annual Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Aviation Symposium. The event will be held at the world-renowned Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa.

CEOs and senior executives from airlines including US Airways, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, Virgin Atlantic Airways, jetBlue Airways, AeroMexico, Air Berlin and LOT Polish Airlines, among others will participate as panelists. The panels will be moderated by internationally recognized journalists such as Perry Flint of Air Transport World, Scott McCartney of The Wall Street Journal, and Jennifer Michels of Aviation Week. Glenn Tilton, Chairman, CEO and President of United Airlines, will be the Friday luncheon keynote speaker.

This year's theme is "Global Aviation 2009 - Seat Belt Sign On!" Panels will discuss a wide-range of topics, including international issues, partnerships and alliances, revenue and financial conditions, and modernization. The Symposium will also feature the always candid airline Executive Panel.

Since 1992, the Phoenix Aviation Symposium has brought high-level aviation and government officials from around the world to Phoenix to discuss the most current and important issues facing the industry.
