Supply to new hydrogen filling stations

On Monday 11th May the first hydrogen filling stations in Oslo and Drammen will open. These will be part of the hydrogen HyNor road between Oslo and Stavanger. All of the high-pressure hydrogen-storage tanks at both stations are supplied by the Norwegian technology Group, Hexagon Composites.

Hydrogen, as fuel, has a high priority as one of several possible environmentally friendly fuels for future transportation systems, both in Norway and internationally. Large international research and development programs and the first small demonstration programs have been conducted. Raufoss Fuel Systems AS, a daughter company of Hexagon Composites ASA, has followed this development for sometime, and has over the past two years developed and supplied systems for the storage of hydrogen. The stations in Oslo and Drammen are both equipped with high-pressure storage tanks from Raufoss Fuel Systems, developed in collaboration with sister company Lincoln Composites in the United States.

The Hexagon Group is the world leader in the storage of compressed hydrogen gas.
