Corporate Partner Laura Bushnell Joins King & Spalding's Growing Silicon Valley Office

REDWOOD SHORES, CA--(Marketwire - September 1, 2009) - King & Spalding, a leading international law firm, announced that Laura I. Bushnell has joined its corporate practice, as a partner resident in the firm's Silicon Valley office. Her practice focuses on general corporate and securities law matters for public and private companies, investment banks and venture capital firms.

Ms. Bushnell joins King & Spalding from Latham & Watkins, where she was a partner. She has extensive experience representing issuers, investors and financial institutions in capital raising transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on and secondary offerings, PIPE financings, venture capital and seed financings, strategic investments and recapitalizations. She has also served as primary outside corporate counsel to companies in the life sciences and technology sectors and regularly consults with company management on general corporate and securities matters, corporate governance, disclosure and SEC reporting obligations, employment and equity compensation, fiduciary duties, and strategic transactions.
