RAMIRENT PICKS UP RENTAL COMPANY OF THE YEAR AWARD
On May 26th, Ramirent received the “Rental Company of the Year” award at the
Annual Convention of the European Rental Association (ERA) held in Prague, in
the Czech Republic, on 26-27 May 2010. The European Rental Awards 2010 was
organized in partnership with International Rental News Magazine.
Ramirent took the Rental Company of the Year Award, one of four categories
recognising rental companies operating in Europe. In total more than 4000 rental
companies were eligible for the awards.
At the awards ceremony, Ramirent's CEO Magnus Rosén said: "We are honoured to
receive this award. I wish to dedicate this award to the entire management team
at Ramirent and its employees who managed to turn this company from a growth
mode to a cash machine in 2009”.
The winning criteria for the category were based on excellent achievements in
2009. Ramirent was awarded for “a professional management” turning a difficult
environment into a winning scenario through delivering a healthy cash flow,
strengthening its financial position, reducing fixed costs by EUR 75 million,
introducing a new Code of Ethics and also achieving the valued ISO 9001:2000
quality certification for its operations in St. Petersburg, Russia as well as
developing a new brand strategy.
The other two rental companies shortlisted for the award of Rental Company of
the Year (10 depots or more) were two UK based companies GAP Group and HSS Hire.
