Association of Corporate Counsel Seeks Nominations for "Excellence in Corporate Practice" Award

Recipient Must Demonstrate Outstanding Commitment & Service to the Legal Profession

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - June 7, 2010) -  The Association of Corporate Counsel ("ACC") is accepting nominations for the 2010 "Excellence in Corporate Practice" award, an annual honor recognizing an outstanding in-house attorney who has made significant business and legal contributions to the legal profession. The deadline to submit nominations is July 30, and the recipient will be presented with a distinctive award at ACC's Annual Meeting (October 24-27, 2010) in San Antonio, TX.

"In-house counsel are under increased pressure to control costs and improve efficiency, while responding to heightened responsibilities and fewer resources, so it is only fitting that we commend those that distinguish themselves professionally and help to affect positive change in spite of the challenges," explains ACC President, Fred Krebs.

Any in-house attorney currently employed or retired who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in their profession is eligible to be nominated. ACC encourages anyone within the legal industry that is aware of an in-house counsel's significant accomplishments to submit a nomination.

As Krebs further notes, "With heightened interest in strengthening relationships between in-house counsel and their outside law firms, this is a great way for law firms to show their appreciation for a client worthy of recognition for their innovative leadership and successful initiatives."

Nomination Forms available online at: http://www.acc.com/aboutacc/awards/index.cfm.
