BuckleySandler Bolsters Nationally Recognized Criminal & Civil Enforcement Team With Addition of Four White Collar Attorneys

James T. Parkinson, Joseph J. Reilly, Adam Miller and Lauren R. Randell Bring Added Depth With Their Combined Litigation, Investigations and Compliance Experience

WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - July 28, 2010) -  BuckleySandler, a leading financial services and criminal & civil enforcement defense law firm based in Washington, DC, announced that James T. Parkinson, Joseph J. Reilly, Adam Miller and Lauren R. Randell have joined the firm. Parkinson joins as a Partner, Reilly and Miller as Counsel and Randell as an Associate. All are based in the firm's Washington, DC office.

Previously with Mayer Brown LLP, Parkinson, Miller and Randell join their former litigation colleagues, David S. Krakoff and Christopher F. Regan, who joined the firm last month, further strengthening BuckleySandler's national Criminal & Civil Enforcement practice. Reilly, formerly a Special Counsel at Sullivan & Cromwell in Washington, DC, brings a wealth of experience representing financial services clients in regulatory and enforcement investigations.

These additions reinforce BuckleySandler's robust government enforcement team, which includes Samuel Buffone, the former co-head of Ropes & Gray's Government Enforcement practice and noted criminal appellate advocate; along with Andrew Sandler and Benjamin Klubes, who have extensive White Collar and government enforcement experience, particularly with financial services clients. Buffone was joined by two of his colleagues from Ropes & Gray, associates Ann Wiles and Brian Kelly, both of whom have extensive litigation and White Collar experience.

"We have made strategic decisions to bring in top-notch White Collar lawyers to assist our clients nationally as they tackle the challenges arising from increased scrutiny and an ever-changing regulatory and enforcement environment," said firm Co-Chair Andrew L. Sandler. "Jamie, Joe, Adam and Laurie are terrific additions and further strengthen our team of experienced White Collar defense attorneys."

BuckleySandler's Criminal & Civil Enforcement practice represents leading financial services companies and other major corporations, as well as their officers and directors, in a variety of civil and criminal state and federal enforcement matters in cases involving civil enforcement of fair lending and unfair and deceptive trade practices, mortgage fraud, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, mail and wire fraud and environmental crimes.

Krakoff said, "We are extremely pleased to reunite our entire White Collar team from Mayer Brown. As we combine our practice with the experience and skills of Andy, Ben and Sam, including Sam's colleagues, Brian and Ann from Ropes & Gray, we are able to provide even more depth and expertise to our financial services and other corporate and individual clients."
