Mindshare Technologies' Kurt Williams Wins CTO of the Year

The Developer of the EFM Industry's Most Comprehensive Text Analytics Suite and Most Intuitive Recommendation Engine is Recognized for His Breakout Year

SALT LAKE CITY, April 12, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Walk through the Mindshare Technologies office and you'll find the face of Kurt Williams, the company's Chief Technology Officer, Photoshopped onto posters of Captain Kirk's body. The caption: "Kurt Williams, CTO of the Year."

The Utah Technology Council (UTC) named Williams Utah's top CTO of 2010 last week at its annual awards banquet in Salt Lake City.

"Kurt distinguished himself because he is seriously valued by his peers. Following each P2P forum, he's always surrounded by his peers," said Richard Nelson, the CEO of the UTC. "His leadership and expertise are in high demand."

Utah has become a technology hotbed, as highlighted in 2010 by articles in Newsweek and Forbes. Members of the UTC include several of Utah's most prominent technology businesses. So to earn the award as the top Tech Exec from a group of national tech leaders shows the impressiveness of Williams' work.

"Mindshare Technologies has always put precedence on technology. Our technology can't be beat. The word is even in our name!" said John Sperry, CEO of Mindshare Technologies. "We are so proud and thrilled to have the state's — and in my estimation, the country's — best CTO in Kurt Williams."

In 2010, Williams and his team created groundbreaking tech innovations for the Enterprise Feedback Management industry (EFM). Mindshare's 3-tiered Text Analytics Suite, Williams' brainchild, is known as the most thorough, easy-to-use Text Analytics product in the industry. Williams also lead the creation of Mindshare CoachTM, the reporting/recommending app that provides customer feedback results in an easy-to-understand dashboard that any manager at all levels can follow.

Later this year, Mindshare plans on unveiling Williams' next revolutionary technology: the industry's first in-house speech-to-text analytics system, which will change the way companies handle their audio survey responses.

"Kurt is dedicated to providing the best technologies to his clients," Nelson said of Williams. "He spearheaded very complex products like the Text Analytics Suite, not just changing the industry, but proving it."

"(Mindshare has) really got more than a Captain Kirk over there."
