Empire Begins Pre-Production on "Did U Get My Text"


WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., April 27, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Empire Film Group, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EFGU)  in association with Sweet Irony Productions, Inc. has announced the start of pre-production activities on the feature film "Did U Get My Text". The film is a contemporary romantic comedy centered around two people who meet and fall in love almost entirely through text messaging.

The film was written by child actor star Jaleel White who played "Urkle" for nine years on the ABC hit sitcom "Family Matters". Also attached on the film project is Joel Zwick who directed "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", the independent feature film that was nominated for an academy award for best screenplay and grossed over $368,000,000 worldwide. The movie is one of the top romantic comedies of the 21st century and became the most profitable movie of all time with a 6150% percent return on an inflation adjusted cost of $6 million to produce.

Proposed locations for the film are being scouted over the next month including the city of Toronto. Potential cast will also be assembled during this time and a late summer production is being planned. "Did U Get MY Text"
