WAYNE, PA--(Marketwire - May 3, 2011) - MEDecision, Inc., a leading provider of collaborative health management solutions, today announced that Carole Hodsdon has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
As MEDecision's EVP and Chief Technology Officer since 2009, Hodsdon has been instrumental in the vision and execution of the Company's platform and product strategy, including spearheading MEDecision's $85+ million research and development investment in the next generation of its market-leading health management platform. This includes investments in a state of the art event-driven service-oriented architecture (EDA) to deliver more effective data integration, real-time business and clinical insight and improved agility and collaboration across the care management ecosystem.
In her new position as EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Hodsdon adds to her responsibilities the executive leadership of the people and processes at MEDecision which service its health plan and provider clients, better aligning the client operations, professional services and human resources organizations to focus on client needs and requirements for innovation, implementation and integration.
Hodsdon will continue to report to Deborah M. Gage, president and chief executive officer for MEDecision.

Hodsdon joined MEDecision after nine years with the CIGNA Corporation, where she held the positions of vice president of enterprise technologies, senior vice president of application development and senior vice president of eCommerce. She previously held management positions at Standard & Poor's, Unisys Corporation, and United Parcel Service, Inc.
