The extensive specialty programs offered by The John Marshall Law School in Chicago are helping law students and practicing attorneys prepare for work in groundbreaking fields of law practice.

The groundbreaking programs at The John Marshall Law School include: the LLM in employee benefits, the only program of its kind in the country; the LLM in Information Technology and Privacy Law, the oldest and most comprehensive program of its kind, and the only master of law degree that emphasizes privacy law in its curriculum; and the LLM in real estate law, one of only three such programs in the country.
Attorneys can complete the post-graduate LLM specialty degree from six concentrations –Employee Benefits, Information Technology and Privacy Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Business and Trade Law, Real Estate Law and Tax Law. Select LLM courses on-line are available through John Marshall's eCourses.
The law school allows its top students to reduce time in school and save on tuition costs by enrolling in a joint JD/LLM degree program from the six LLM curricula. The joint degree program, which adds a year to the traditional three-year law school program, allows students to use 10 credits from the JD program toward the 24 credits needed in the LLM programs.
Students in the JD program can select from seven certificate programs—Alternative Dispute Resolution, Elder Law, Health Law, Intellectual Property Law, International Human Rights Law, Sustainability, and Trial Advocacy.
To diversify their studies, students can be enrolled at John Marshall and work on selected master's degrees through the law school's relationships with two Chicago area universities. Students can complete a JD at John Marshall and master's in business administration (JD/MBA) at Dominican University or a JD from John Marshall and a master's degree in public administration (JD/MPA) from Roosevelt University.
