Axom Technologies named Inc. 500 company again

Three-year sales growth topped 1,200 percent

Annapolis Junction, MD, Aug. 29, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- For the second year in a row, Axom Technologies, Inc. has ranked on the Inc. 500 list of America’s fastest growing, privately owned companies.

Inc. Magazine this week ranked the Annapolis Junction company No. 253 on the 2011 list, noting that Axom Technologies posted revenue growth of 1,258 percent over the past three years. The company reported revenue of $10.6 million in 2010 compared to $781,143 in 2007. Its staff grew to 73 in 2010 - up 67 employees in three years. Axom ranked as the 30th fastest growing company in the government services sector and the sixth fastest growing in the Baltimore region.

"We are proud to win such a prestigious national award two years consecutively," said Matthew Norris, Axom Technologies’ founder, president and chief executive officer. "Our ability to adapt to our marketplace, build on our previous successes and take strategic risks has helped us grow this business in a tight labor market and tough economic times."

A service-disabled, veteran-owned small business, Axom Technologies provides information technology and engineering services to the federal government, specializing in software development, IT engineering, cyber operations, network operations, and business consulting.

In its 30th year, the Inc. 500 list is an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list delivers a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy--America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Zipcar, Clif Bar, Vizio, Oracle, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500. Companies on the 2011 list posted aggregate revenue of $10.5 billion, with a median three-year growth of 1,275 percent.
