Entertainment Games Continues to Build Social Game Development Team

Several Flash Engineers Hired for Boston Studio

LANGHORNE, Pa., Aug. 30, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Casual games developer and publisher Entertainment Games, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EGAM) today announced it has hired three new social game professionals, Douglas Turcotte, Sean Beck and Michelle Wrighton, to join its growing software development team at Entertainment Games' studio in Boston. Turcotte and Beck earned their B.S. in Interactive Media and Game Development at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Massachusetts and will work as Lead Client Engineer and Flash Animator/Scripter respectively. Wrighton recently earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Central Michigan University and will work as a Client User Experience Engineer.

WPI's founding motto of Theory and Practice underlies its academic programs, providing graduates of its Interactive Media and Game Development program with hands-on experience that enables them to contribute important skills to development teams upon graduation. "We are thrilled to hire two top WPI Graduates, Turcotte and Beck, who will bring critical skills to our team at the forefront of innovative social game design and development," said Jeff Kesselman, CTO at Entertainment Games. "Their talent earned them the 2011 WPI Provost Award for Best Major Qualifying Project in Interactive Media and Game Development, further indicating to us that they are the level of talent we seek for our Boston Studio as we prepare to launch our ground-breaking nostalgia-based social game."

Wrighton graduated from Central Michigan Industry with a Summa Cum Laude accolade and joins the Boston studio team with a background in both Art and Computer Science.   "The talent and skill sets we have assembled for this project are outstanding, said Gene Mauro, COO and President at Entertainment Games. "We are pleased to hire young, bright recent college graduates, like Wrighton, Beck and Turcotte, and we are confident they will achieve their personal and professional goals while launching and expanding their careers at our innovative, fast-paced social games company."
