Silver Horn Mining Ltd. Completes Preliminary Exploration in the Wallapai Mining District; Vein Samples Average 6.87 oz/ton

PHOENIX, Nov. 7, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Silver Horn Mining Ltd., (OTCBB:SILV) ("Silver Horn" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed a preliminary exploration program of its AMY Claims in the Wallapai District of Mohave County, Arizona. Chemical assay of 25 hand samples yielded an average of 3.09 oz/ton of silver. Of these samples, 7 were taken from vein structures, yielding an average 6.87 oz/ton of silver.

The Wallapai District not only has a rich history of silver mining, but is also home to active mining operations. For example, for the year ending December 31, 2010, the Mineral Park Mine, located just 1 mile to the northwest of Silver Horn's AMY claims, produced 456,736 ounces of silver. Silver Horn is not associated with Mineral Park Mine.

Silver Horn's AMY Claims overlie rich veins which were mined as recently as 1982 by Alanco, with reported workings to the 800-foot level. Even more recently, a 2009 report produced by Duncan Bain, P.Geo. for US Canadian Minerals, reported ore grades of 13.51 oz/ton.

Silver Horn's preliminary exploration program consisted of collecting hand-sized mineral samples for chemical analysis. The 25 hand samples consisted of both mineralized vein structures and tailings from historic workings within and adjacent to Silver Horn's AMY claims. A representative sample was collected from each claim. Samples were shipped to ALS Minerals of Reno, Nevada for chemical assay analysis, the results of which can be found by clicking the link below.

Based on the results of the preliminary exploration, Silver Horn is developing plans to conduct a comprehensive exploration program, which could include drilling and geophysical surveys.  Additionally, Silver Horn is looking for opportunities to expand its land holdings in the district.

Silver Horn President Daniel Bleak stated, "We are pleased with the encouraging initial exploration results and look forward to future exploration and drilling. We consider our mining claims in the Wallapai District, a rich silver producing region, to be a strategic launching point as we continue to develop and expand as a company."
