Stockholm, 2012-03-02 00:05 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Stan Lee Media, Inc. (“SLMI”) has filed a Notice of Appeal of the recent decision of the United States District Court, Central District of California, which terminated SLMI’s case against Paradox Entertainment AB and others, and rejected SLMI’s challenge to the ownership of the Conan intellectual property. The filing of such a Notice of Appeal is an initial step in commencing review by appeal and is common practice in cases in the United States which are not settled by agreement between the parties and in which an appealable order is issued. It remains to be seen if SLMI actually pursues the appeal, which was filed in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Paradox Entertainment and its counsel believe that the lower court reached the right result and that there are no grounds for a successful appeal by SLMI.
