Leading Analyst Firm Research Identifies Elliptical Mobile Solutions Among the Key Players in Modular Data Center Market

CHANDLER, Ariz., May 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- A recent report, by Gartner Research Vice President Jeff Hewitt, identified Elliptical Mobile Solutions (EMS) as a key player in today's modular data center market.

The report, titled "Competitive Landscape – Modular Data Center Solutions," published on March 23rd said, "A number of competitors offer noncontainer modular data center solutions to provide increased installation, power, and cooling efficiencies for data center infrastructure."

"We are pleased that Gartner recognized our solutions within the modular data center market," said Tony Cole, Vice President of North American Sales at EMS. "Having affirmation from the world's leading information technology research and advisory company is exciting and we believe provides confirmation that our products are viable solutions for many different client use cases."

EMS is the only company in the world to build Micro-Modular Data Centers (MMDC) at the rack level with onboard closed loop cooling, adaptive suspension, security and fire suppression, according to Cole. The enclosures are designed to replicate the functions and features of a traditional data center while offering capital, operational and energy savings.

The product line includes the 24U, 2.5kW or 6kW C3-S.P.E.A.R., the 42U, 12kW R.A.S.E.R. DX and the 42U, 20 to 80kW R.A.S.E.R. HD.

Products are designed to operate indoors or outdoors and in extreme conditions and climates, making them ideal platforms for disaster recovery, data center consolidation or retrofit, remote office support, remote and nonstandard data center locations, government and military applications, data center closets, cloud computing, and high density zones.

According to the report, "Modular data center component solutions provide a more modular level of granularity than the data container and often are focused on rack and row-level installations.

"Noncontainer modular data center solutions break the physical boundary limits of the physical data container shell to provide larger amounts of equipment support and provide easier access to hot and cold aisle areas within the prefabricated module." Please visit: http://www.gartner.com/id=1961719
