Tampa Chiropractor Announces Use of New Kennedy Decompression Table for Patient Therapy

TAMPA, Fla., May 17, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Caez Chiropractic in Tampa, FL announced that the practice has had significant success treating patients using spinal decompression therapy. The wellness center is now offering treatment using the KDT decompression unit. According to chiropractor Dr. Brian Caez, spinal decompression therapy is a non-surgical treatment that can help relieve chronic back pain due to a sports injury or car accident injury.

Chiropractor Dr. Brian Caez is encouraging back pain patients to learn more about the benefits of spinal decompression therapy. This non-surgical treatment is designed to relieve chronic back pain, sciatica pain, neck pain, and numbness for patients with a herniated disc, bulging-disc or spinal stenosis.

"Many patients coming in to see us have tried a variety of treatments with varying degrees of success," said Dr. Caez. "Spinal decompression therapy is an effective alternative that consistently delivers life-changing results for our patients."

A car accident injury or sports injury, such as a herniated disc, may compress the vertebra in the spine. When this occurs, the disc will put pressure on nearby nerves, which can lead to chronic pain. "As long as this compression persists, patients will continue to suffer from chronic pain," said Dr. Caez. "Many patients find that pain management using medication is ineffective because the medication only provides temporary relief. Spinal decompression therapy is truly life changing because it addresses the underlying cause for pain, which is the compressed disc."

According to Dr. Caez, spinal decompression therapy works by gently creating space between the vertebrae in the spine. This added space allows the compressed disc to return to its natural alignment, relieving pressure on the nerves and alleviating pain.

Dr. Caez uses the Kennedy Decompression System, also known as KDT therapy. Dr. Caez recently purchased the KDT system, which is designed to provide complete treatment for the entire spine, including the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions.

"KDT allows us to effectively address each area of pain that a patient may be experiencing," said Dr. Caez. "By lying in a comfortable position, the machine uses gravity to gently separate compressed spinal segments. Depending on the severity of a patient's injury, I may recommend a series of treatments one to three times per week. Many of our patients experience significant relief in just a few treatments, although a treatment period of eight weeks ensures long-lasting results."

Dr. Caez creates custom treatment programs for every patient based on their wellness needs. In addition to spinal decompression therapy, he may recommend complementary treatments such as massage or physical therapy. These treatments may help increase the benefits of spinal decompression therapy by relieving sore or stiff muscles.

Caez Chiropractic provides comprehensive pain management and injury treatment services for the greater Tampa community. In addition to spinal decompression treatments and spinal adjustments, the practice offers physical therapy, exercise rehabilitation and massage therapy. Dr. Caez has over 300 hours of training and is certified as a chiropractic sports physician.
