Los Angeles, July 9, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SDI Media announced today the appointment of Rick Sanchez as its new Chief Information Officer, effective July 9, 2012.
As CIO, Rick will serve as SDI Media's primary strategist, architect, and operations head for issues relating to worldwide information services. This will include supervising applications development and implementation, data center operations, and Support Desk functions.
Rick joins SDI Media from Sony Pictures Entertainment where he headed up a key IT Function as the Executive Director for International Television. During his time at Sony, Rick was responsible for managing many aspects of Sony's IT portfolio including: implementing a Sales ERP system; transitioning applications to a newly created development & maintenance group; implementing a global analytics system to support Sales, Programming and Finance groups; and providing business process optimization solutions.
