MacAulay-Brown Expands Business Development Team With Three New Hires


DAYTON, Ohio, July 30, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that it has hired Leigh Thompson, Fred Avila and Tim Lowman. The newest members of MacB's business development team bring decades of experience, and will be instrumental in helping the Company meet its business growth objectives. Lowman, Avila and Thompson will report to James Soos, MacB's Vice President of Strategic Programs, and will be based in Vienna, Va. 

Leigh Thompson joins MacB as Vice President of Business Development. Thompson has more than 25 years of experience as a capture manager, program manager and solutions architect with major companies in the Washington D.C. market, including General Dynamics, Veridian and Dell Federal. As Vice President of Business Development, Thompson will focus on increasing MacB's presence in the National Security market.

Fred Avila has been appointed Director of Strategic Pricing. Avila has extensive experience in pricing, competitive intelligence, Price-to-Win (PTW) analysis, business intelligence research and financial analysis in support of clients throughout the federal government. Before joining MacB, Avila compiled an extensive record successfully helping companies like Booz Allen Hamilton, Oracle and Northrop Grumman more effectively compete for new business.

As Director of Business Development, Timothy "Tim" Lowman will oversee MacB's work under the U.S. General Services Administration's Alliant Government-wide Acquisition Contract and will focus on the identification, qualification and capture of Enterprise IT programs for MacB. Lowman spent 20 years in the United States Army, primarily in the Intelligence branch. After retiring from the Army, he held senior business development positions at Concurrent Technology Corporation (CTC) and Metters, Inc. He has extensive capture management experience and has worked all facets of the business development life cycle.
