Industry Veteran Joins Association of Energy Services Professionals Team

PHOENIX, Sept. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) announced the appointment of Bill Streetman to a newly created position of Business Development Manager. AESP is a member-based organization for professionals whose work is primarily focused on energy efficiency and demand response (DR).

Streetman is a highly regarded member of the industry, having worked in energy efficiency since its nascent days. He brings nearly 30 years of experience in marketing and implementing energy efficiency products and programs for residential, commercial and industrial clients. He has experience managing utility energy efficiency and DR programs and meeting energy savings goals, making him an ideal fit for this position where he will focus his efforts on building member relationships between AESP and utility companies.

"AESP has been seeing phenomenal growth in the past few years – in both membership and attendance at our conferences – as more and more utilities are tasked with implementing efficiency programs," said Meg Matt, president and CEO of AESP. "We are a valuable resource for utilities with an energy efficiency agenda, but not all utilities are aware of AESP's offerings to promote knowledge-sharing and the advancement of the industry – such as our conferences, training courses, webinars, online tools and networking. We are so pleased to have someone of Bill's caliber join our team who will undoubtedly add to our continued growth," she adds.

Streetman remarked, "I have been a member of AESP for many years. My participation in AESP was key to the development and success of my career, so it is with great excitement that I now have the opportunity to share these same benefits with other energy industry professionals and organizations. I look forward to showing them how their involvement in AESP can reap great rewards."
