Prince of Orange awards Heineken Prizes 2012 and Heineken Young Scientists Awards 2012


Amsterdam, 27 September 2012 - The Alfred Heineken Fondsen Foundation today announced that His Royal Highness the Prince of Orange awarded the Heineken Prizes for Science and Art to Titia de Lange, Peter Struycken, Hans Clevers, William Laurance, Geoffrey Parker and John Duncan during an extraordinary meeting of the Royal Academy of Arts and Sciences at the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam.  

The Prince also awarded the Heineken Young Scientists Awards 2012, for outstanding young scientists, to Geert van den Bogaart, Linda van Laake, Tjisse van der Heide, Ugur Ümit Üngör and Floris de Lange.
