Energy Telecom Announces Another of Its Patent Applications Has Been Accepted in All Eleven Patent Cooperation Treaty Countries Selected

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla., Nov. 1, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Energy Telecom (OTCBB:ENRG) announced that its Patent Cooperation Treaty application has been accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark office, the European Patent Office (for filing in Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany), and the patent offices in Canada, Australia, the Republic of China, South Korea and Japan.

The acceptance of these Patent Cooperation Treaty patent applications, based on PCT/US10/000717 claiming benefits stated in Energy's already awarded US utility patent 8,243,973, moves Energy Telecom's filing process into the National Phase under Chapter II of the Patent Cooperation Treaty.

Tom Rickards, President of Energy Telecom stated, "We will be pleased to further extend the patent umbrella under which our manufacturing and distribution partners are able to produce and supply the world's only certified family of telecommunication eyewear delivering valuable and unique benefits to people in noisy and potentially hazardous environments."

"We added Japan and South Korea to the coverage already provided in earlier awarded US and PCT patents," Mr. Rickards continued, "as we believe our distribution partner's presence in Asia should be supported as thoroughly as in Australia, the US and Canada, and, in Europe."
