Wasu Media Group in China Selects Envivio for Cable and Multi-Screen Services

Envivio Encoders/Transcoders to Support Traditional Cable TV and Mobile/OTT Applications in Huangzhou


SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., March 21, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Envivio (Nasdaq:ENVI), a leading provider of software-based live and on-demand multi-screen video processing and delivery solutions, today announced that Wasu Media Group, a cable and new media service provider in Huangzhou province, China, has selected Envivio Muse™ transcoders on the 4Caster™ appliance for its cable and multi-screen services. Today, the service supports transcoding of MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) for DVB-C video services delivered to 800,000 subscriber homes in Huangzhou, and will be extended to support multi-screen and over-the-top (OTT) TV in the near future.
