National TEAMUp2Win!(r) Program Rewards Responsible Fans With Trips to NCAA(r) Women's and Men's Final Four(r)


Alexandria, VA, April 12, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) celebrated both the NCAA® Women's and Men's Final Four® with the fifth year of the organization's drunk driving prevention initiative, TEAMUp2Win! ® TEAM Coalition is an alliance of professional and collegiate sports, entertainment facilities, concessionaires, stadium service providers, the beer industry, distillers, broadcasters, governmental traffic safety experts and others working together to promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sports and entertainment facilities. This national program capitalized on the excitement of the 2013 NCAA® Men's and Women's Final Four® and encouraged fans to celebrate responsibly.

To participate in TEAMUp2Win!, individuals made the "Responsibility Has Its Rewards" pledge to:

  • Never drive drunk
  • Always have a designated driver
  • Never provide alcohol to anyone under 21 years of age
  • Always buckle up every trip every time

Thousands of fans across the country made the pledge. Each had a chance to win one of two grand prizes, a trip for two to the 2013 NCAA® Men's Final Four® or a trip for two to the 2013 NCAA® Women's Final Four®, provided courtesy of the NCAA.

The Men's Final Four® prize winner was Grant Gee. He traveled from Evansville, Illinois to Atlanta and received two tickets to the 2013 NCAA® Men's Final Four® games on Saturday April 6th and received two tickets to the championship game on Monday, April 8th at the Georgia Dome. 

The Women's Final Four® prize winner was Bette Schmitt. She traveled from New Providence, New Jersey to New Orleans and received two tickets to the 2013 NCAA® Women's Final Four® games on Sunday, April 7th and received two tickets to the championship game on Tuesday, April 9th at the New Orleans Arena.
