Haddon Twp, NJ, May 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Green Valley Tennis Club is opening its doors to the general public for their annual Open House on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 10:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. As South Jersey's premier tennis club, Green Valley is located right in the heart of Haddon Township on Crystal Lake Avenue, right next door to the Tap Room Bar & Grill.
Tennis enthusiasts of every age and skill level will be able to play on the club's nine beautiful Har-Tru (clay) courts, enjoy refreshments on the terrace, and learn about all of the exciting events taking place this summer. Existing members will be on hand, and information on membership opportunities will also be available.
"You will be able to listen to an informative Sports Medicine talk by one of our members, Dr. Craig Kimmel, as well as test your serving speed with an electronic speed gun," said Lee Giobbie, one of Green Valley's Board Members. "You will also be able to visit the Everyone's Racquet booth to see new racquets and learn about their drop-off racquet stringing service."
Visitors will also be able to hit balls during free drills with each of Green Valley's onsite tennis pros (children and adult play available,) learn about the EVNAPO Summer Tennis Camp (children ages 5-17), and learn more about the many tennis events already on the calendar for 2013. Examples include clinics, drills, tournaments, teams, leagues (singles and doubles), round-robin tennis parties, a bus trip to the U.S. Open, a Grand Slam Raffle, and more!
