EDGEWOOD, N.Y., June 3, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dynatech International/MPX Holdings LLC, announced today that Dr. Ahmed Metwalli has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Planning and Business Development. Dr. Metwalli brings with him close to forty years of experience in the aerospace industry in both the defense and commercial markets and in international operations. He spent 25 years at Lockheed Martin in various capacities including Vice President and General Manager, International Operations for the Aircraft and Logistics Centers Company in Greenville, SC.
From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Metwalli served in a dual role as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Aerospace Products International (API) in Memphis, TN and the COO of First Aviation Services, Inc. (FAvS), Westbury, CT. He managed domestic and international subsidiaries and business units in Wichita, KS; Winston Salem, NC; Montreal, Canada; the Philippines; Singapore; Shanghai, China; Gondia, India; New Zealand, and Dubai which provide integrated logistics and sustainment services including OEM parts distribution, supply chain management programs, component MRO and engineering solutions.
Prior to 2007, he was Vice President of Business Development and Distribution at Kellstrom Industries in Miramar, Florida. He joined Kellstrom in 2003 as Vice President of Sales and Customer Support of the defense division which provides spares, repairs, and logistics services to military customers worldwide.
