Hart Energy Names John E. Paisie as Executive VP-Consulting & Research


HOUSTON, July 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- John E. Paisie has joined Hart Energy in a newly created role as its executive vice president for consulting and research. He will be responsible for developing Hart Energy's consulting business worldwide, increasing the scope of its research activities and expanding its base of retained services relationships.

From 2003 through 2011, Paisie was a partner with PFC Energy, a strategic consultancy based in Washington, D.C., where he managed the downstream oil & gas and petrochemical group and led a global practice. His staff of nearly 60 professionals in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia and was responsible for developing new retainer services and securing major consulting engagements.  

Paisie helped PFC Energy establish new retained services in Asia, the Middle East, the FSU, and the Caspian, reach into other sectors (NGLs, petrochemicals, and biofuels) and develop new areas of analysis (financial benchmarking, carbon-related issues, and alternative energy).  He led development of in-house analytical models and underlying databases including: energy supply/demand models; financial and portfolio models, and asset valuation models.

After starting his career with Sun Oil Company, Paisie worked as a project manager for Saudi Aramco at Ras Tanura, and for more than eight years with IBM Consulting (formerly PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PwC Consulting) in Singapore, Beijing and London.  As an expatriate, he lived in Southeast Asia, China, the Middle East and Europe, and worked extensively in Latin America. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Toledo and his MBA from Purdue University.
