SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Nov. 14, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Matrix Medical Network, a national leader in prospective medical assessment services for Medicare Advantage (MA) plan members and one of the largest employers of Nurse Practitioners (NP) in the country, honored and celebrated each day of the 2013 National Nurse Practitioner Week. Matrix recognized the extraordinary contributions of its national network of more than 450 NPs through a special weeklong internal communications campaign that highlighted the vital role of NPs and showed company-wide appreciation for their commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of MA plan members.
Matrix's national network of highly trained employee NPs conduct in-person 60-minute-plus prospective health risk assessments (HRAs) in MA members' homes and nursing facilities.
An NP week logo was designed for Matrix's NP week festivities and featured in internal communications, which included daily bulletins, a creative writing contest, and a special NP week "thank you" card that was hand-signed by clinical leadership and mailed with a gift card inside to every NP. The writing contest was themed "A Day in the Life of a Nurse Practitioner," and a new winner of the contest was showcased in each of the NP week daily bulletins. Writing submissions from NPs covered topics ranging from most inspirational moments to why the NP profession is an important part of the U.S. health care system.
Matrix CEO Randy Dobbs kicked off the NP week celebration with an all-employee announcement. Mr. Dobbs described the performance of Matrix NPs and the significant impact they are making in the area of care management by simply stating the facts.
